I saw this on xkcd (I don’t even know what kind of site it is but somehow wound up at it – I think via Consumerist.com) and thought it was pretty funny…

This has been around for a while – but I couldn’t help posting it because it’s so damn funny!

Some people apparently don’t like the new Quiznos commercial, but I think it’s pretty hysterical (I know – I’m odd like that):

There is this group called Improv Everywhere which, “causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places.” (their own words) Some of the stuff they do is pretty funny – you can see a lot of it (including descriptions, pictures, and videos) on their website.

One of the funniest things I think they ever did was get a bunch of people (I’m talking like 80 or so) together and have them dress up to look just like Best Buy employees, and then have them all go into a Best Buy in NYC and cause lots of chaos – it sounds ridiculous but really funny too.

They have a whole page about it – check it out: Best Buy at Improv Everywhere.

I don’t know exactly why, but I thought this was hysterical:

Apocalypse Newscast – barats and bereta

I think you need to have watched some of their past videos to fully understand the humor in this video…but if you’re a fan of Barats & Bereta, this is a funny video!

Be sure to watch the news scrolling at the bottom, as well as the 5-day forecast after Satan appears ;)

For more Barats & Bereta, visit their MySpace Page or their Web Site.

The WTF Blanket:

All this talk about “stimulus packages” and “bailouts”…

A billion dollars…

A hundred billion dollars…

Eight hundred billion dollars…

One TRILLION dollars…

What does that look like? I mean, these various numbers are tossed around like so many doggie treats, so I thought I’d take Google Sketchup out for a test drive and try to get a sense of what exactly a trillion dollars looks like.

We’ll start with a $100 dollar bill. Currently the largest U.S. denomination in general circulation. Most everyone has seen them, slighty fewer have owned them. Guaranteed to make friends wherever they go.

A packet of one hundred $100 bills is less than 1/2″ thick and contains $10,000. Fits in your pocket easily and is more than enough for week or two of shamefully decadent fun.

Believe it or not, this next little pile is $1 million dollars (100 packets of $10,000). You could stuff that into a grocery bag and walk around with it.

While a measly $1 million looked a little unimpressive, $100 million is a little more respectable. It fits neatly on a standard pallet…

And $1 BILLION dollars… now we’re really getting somewhere…

Next we’ll look at ONE TRILLION dollars. This is that number we’ve been hearing so much about. What is a trillion dollars? Well, it’s a million million. It’s a thousand billion. It’s a one followed by 12 zeros.

You ready for this?

It’s pretty surprising.

Go ahead…

Scroll down…

Ladies and gentlemen… I give you $1 trillion dollars…

(click the image to see it larger)

Notice those pallets are double stacked.
…and remember those are $100 bills.

So the next time you hear someone toss around the phrase “trillion dollars”… that’s what they’re talking about.

Since my “business” is called Falcon Computer Consulting, I decided it would only be appropriate (with some prompting by friends) to post some videos of “The Falconer” from Saturday Night Live. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any except one about Time Travel which isn’t that great. But, I figured it was better than nothing, so enjoy:
