I was driving earlier today, and it suddenly occurred to me how much colleges and universitities take advantage of their students. Now, I know there are many obvious ways that this occurs, such as charging students $40,000/year...but there are also some pretty sneaky ways they do it too. One of the ones that occurred to me were student jobs. Most college students have classes on a somewhat weird schedule, and because of this, getting a job off of their college campus can be difficult due to their schedule. As a result, colleges offer students jobs on campus. Unfortunately, the colleges pay students sh*t for the work they do. Doing exactly what they do for the colleges in a real job, students could make more than twice what the colleges pay them. As a result, the colleges end up getting really cheap labor out of their own students...who, lets not forget, are already paying them $40,000/year!!! Seems incredibly UNFAIR to me!!
